Checklists

A NESI Checklist is a tool to help managers evaluate how well a program or project implements NESI Guidance. The checklist results help a manager perform a self-assessment of program or project net-centricity and interoperability. Use the Current Release Checklist to perform an initial self-assessment. The Archived Release Checklists are available to perform subsequent self-assessments when a previous NESI release was the basis for the initial self-assessment of a program or project.

A NESI Checklist consists of three steps:

A checklist for a specific NESI release includes all of the Guidance items in that release, including ID, Statement, and Evaluation Criteria (Tests and Procedures). Each Guidance ID has a hyperlink to the actual Guidance in the NESI online release version to facilitate reviewing the Rationale and Evaluation Criteria Examples to aid in evaluating how the program or project meets each Guidance Statement. The Evaluator scores each Guidance item using the dropdown menu in the corresponding Score cell (No Evaluation; No, Low, Some, Complete Compliance; Waived; Not Applicable) and enters amplifying remarks in the Comments cell. The tool keeps track of the score values in a table and bar graph on the Summary tab.
